Lawrence D. LaPlue, III

I have accepted a position beginning in the fall of 2016 at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM, after receiving my Ph.D.  in economics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

My research interests involve theoretical and empirical work in International Trade and Environmental Economics.

My teaching interests are broad, but I have enjoyed teaching Trade and Development, Intermediate Macro and other aspects of Political Economy, and acting as a business “coach” for undergraduate students at the University of Tennessee.
