My current CV.
Though born in Damascus, Maryland (about 50 miles north of D.C.), my family and I moved to East Tennessee when I was 9. I attended a liberal arts college in Dayton, TN (Claim to Fame: Home of the Scopes “Monkey Trial”) and earned bachelor’s degrees in history and political communication in 2008. After working for several years for a company selling and doing service work on overhead cranes and hoists, I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to enter graduate school at the University of Tennessee. I earned a master’s degree in economics in 2012 and Ph.D. in 2016. My family and I currently reside in Las Cruces, NM, where I teach in the College of Business at New Mexico State University.
In my (vanishing) free time, I enjoy reading (a growing collection of children’s books these days), playing volleyball, basketball, biking, visiting with family, and gathering around a table for a game… And I am engaged in a perpetual search for the perfect cup of coffee.
